PhD Student, Political Science, Yale University. My research focuses primarily on issues of surveillance and privacy in the context of state power and repression. I also study civil-military relations in authoritarian regimes and the economic activities of militaries in the developing world. I use both historical qualitative methods as well as quantitative approaches.
